STRUB Vulcogear Synt EP WS 460
Art.-No. 30738
Description
STRUB Vulcogear Synt EP WS is a fully synthetic high-performance gear lubricant of the latest technology based on water-soluble polyalkylene glycols.
Application
This special product was developed for the lubrication of all types of mechanically and thermally highly stressed gears. In circulating systems e.g. calenders and paper machines. Due to the very favorable coefficient of friction, especially in gears with a high sliding ratio (worm gears), wear is greatly reduced and results in better gear efficiency and lower oil bath temperatures (up to 25°C lower compared to mineral oils). As it is a polyglycolbased product, friction pairings of steel and aluminum alloys should be avoided.
Eigenschaften und Vorteile
- for oil bath temperatures up to 150°C and for peak temperatures up to approx. 175°C, with
correspondingly shorter oil change intervals - higher gear efficiency compared to mineral lubricants
- low energy losses due to lower friction coefficient
- the requirements of DIN 51517-03, CLP are fulfilled
- excellent wear protection (FZG- Test DIN 51354 > 12)
- higher oxidation resistance than mineral oil and thus longer oil life
- good corrosion protection
- sealing compatibility with seals made of HNBR, VMQ and FKM, with NBR 80°C must not be exceeded. For applications above 100°C it is recommended to consult the seal manufacturer
- paint compatibility with PU, epoxy and stoving paints is very good
- lower energy and operating costs
- low maximum oil temperature, which increases operational reliability and reduces maintenance due to longer oil service life
- can absorb up to 3% water without damage to the gears
- no viscosity changes
Note
not miscible with mineral oils and esters
