It absorbs surfaces contaminated by oil and gasoline (all hydrocarbons) on land and water. Oclansorb© is internationally recognized by fire departments, municipalities, highway maintenance departments, airports, transportation companies, power plants and the petroleum industry. **Application** Oclansorb© is a very light, light brown material which is applied by hand or with the help of a spreader truck as close as possible over the contaminated surface. In contrast to other, e.g. clay-based binders, to which the hydrocarbons only adhere, Oclansorb© encloses the hydrocarbons through its open-pored cell structure and thus absorbs them. Following the binding process, the mass can be easily removed and disposed of in waste incineration plants. What remains are biologically intact surfaces on land and water. **Features and advantages** - Due to its surface structure, Oclansorb© immediately absorbs the impurities and can then also be removed immediately - Oclansorb© retains its buoyancy due to its water-repellent properties and can therefore also be - removed from the water surface as quickly as possible after only the oily products have been bound. - Oclansorb© is very easy to handle due to its light weight compared to other heavy binding materials. - Oclansorb© is efficient: binds 6 times its own weight of oily materials (clay containing materials only 0.4 times) - Oclansorb© is ecological: it is organic, non-toxic, non-aggressive and biodegradable.
